SHAG TASTER & SOCIAL DANCE

April is a 5-week month, which means that we get to hold one of our extra taster workshops this month to finish our block off in style!

Join us on Wednesday 29th April at 7pm at the Penrith Parish Rooms for a Shag taster class followed by social dancing for all. This all-levels class will be suitable for everyone; no previous Shag experience required. £5 cash on the door as a drop-in payment.

Shag is a infectiously happy type of Swing Dance that originated in America in the 1920s and 1930s, around the same time as Lindy Hop. It can be danced to medium and fast music and is a lot of fun - come and have a go!

Bal Pals; our Beginner Bal class will be on at 6pm as usual downstairs. Note there will be no Lindy Hop Fundamentals and Improvers this week - these are back when the next 4 week block starts on 6th May. Pre- bookings for the new Lindy block are open on the website now or you can pay drop-in at the desk on the night.
